Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas has announced the unveiling of its newest portfolio addition located in Douro Valley, Portugal. The resort scheduled to open on July, 15 2015 will be the company’s first in Europe. Located in the beautiful Portuguese UNESCO World Heritage area of Douro Valley, the property will reflect the inimitable Six Senses style with notes of 19th-century architecture and contemporary interiors.
The 20-acre resort comprises 57 guest accommodations with glamorous décor of light greys and sandy tones, and eco-friendly materials blending nature with Portuguese traditional design.
The property also boasts diverse dining experiences, including an open dining room, cozy lounge, and a wine library featuring award-winning vintages from the region.
The resort will also include an expansive spa and outdoor swimming pool with panoramic views of Douro Valley.
